Consultant Neurologist Full Time

The Mater Misericordiae Hospital is seeking to fill the above position. Reporting to the Director of Medical Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and administer treatment for complex medical problems and neurological disorders.
  • Order neurological tests and interpret the results of Neuroimaging.
  • Perform specialized treatments such as sleep disorders, neuro immunology, Neuro-Oncology, Behavioral Neurology and Neurogenetics.
  • Perform and interpret lumbar punctures, electro encephalography, electromyography and nerve conduction velocity tests.
  • Participate in Neuroscience research activities. • Keep up to date with Neurological developments, treatments and medication.

    Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medicine.
  • Master of Medicine Degree (Mmed) in Internal Medicine with a specialty in Neurology.
  • Minimum 5 years work experience after Specialist recognition as a Neurologist. Current practicing license from the Kenya Dentists and Medical Practioners Board.
  • Leadership skills.
