Maseno University University Librarian Jobs in Kenya

Requirements

A PhD degree in Library and Information Sciences or equivalent qualification from a
recognized University; OR

A Master’s degree in Library and Information Sciences or equivalent from a recognized University;

A Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Sciences or equivalent from a recognized University;

At least Twelve (12) years relevant cumulative work experience in a well-established and automated library, Five (5) of which must have been at the level of Deputy Librarian Grade14 or an equivalent position in a comparable Institution;

A minimum of Three (3) articles in peer reviewed journals or Chapters in a book(s).

A registered member of a relevant professional body;

Must have presented papers in conferences/ workshops;

Proficiency in ERP modules;

Compliant with Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Terms of Service

The terms of service for the advertised positions will be on permanent and
pensionable terms except for:

Food & Beverage Manager which shall be a three (3) year contract renewable based on performance;

Finance Officer, Librarian, Registrar, Academic & Student Affairs and Chief Internal Auditor contracts’ shall be on a five (5) year renewable contract based on performance.
