Duties and Responsibilities

Prompt preparation and submission for audit of annual financial statements and quarterly management accounts:

Ensure periodic reports to the Board of Trustees:

Preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly Income schedules;

Identify, develop and improve internal control systems:

Ensure preparation and prompt submission of statutory returns (VAT, WHT, Installment tax, Income tax, NHIF, NSSF, RBA annual returns etc.) Reviewbank reconciliations;

Coordination of budgeting, production of periodic budget analysis and reports:

Preparation and management of cash flow projections;

Review and approval of payments for member withdrawals, service providers, suppliers and beneficiaries of trust funds:

Prepare departmental strategy in line with scheme Strategic Plan

Qualifications, Experience and skills

Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Finance, Economics):

Professional qualifications (CPA (K) or ACCA):

At least three (3) years relevant experience from a reputable organization:

Experience in pension accounting or knowledge of fund investments will be an added advantage:

Experience in use of accounting software:

Knowledge of MS Excel is mandatory:

Good analytical communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
