Marriott Restaurant Manager Jobs in Kenya;Responsible for supervising daily restaurant operations, assisting with menu planning, maintaining sanitation standards, and supporting servers and hosts during peak meal periods.

Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance in areas of responsibility. Determines training needs and implements plans accordingly.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Food Service Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, or related field

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in restaurant operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role within a fine dining or upscale Indian restaurant (preferably in a 5‑star hotel)

    Core Work Activities

    Managing Day‑to‑Day Operations

  • Supervise and manage employees; oversee daily operations

  • Maintain service and sanitation standards across restaurant, bar/lounge, and room service areas

  • Review staffing levels to meet guest service, operational, and financial objectives

    Leading Food & Beverage Team

  • Lead and influence team members with strong communication skills

  • Build trust, respect, and cooperation among staff

  • Identify developmental needs and coach/mentor employees

  • Set departmental goals and ensure productivity

  • Ensure compliance with food & beverage policies, standards, procedures, and applicable laws

  • Monitor alcohol service in compliance with local laws

    Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service

  • Provide services above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention

  • Communicate guest needs and provide guidance
    and coaching

  • Display leadership in hospitality and create a positive guest atmosphere

  • Handle guest problems and complaints; obtain feedback during meals or upon departure

  • Incorporate guest satisfaction into departmental meetings with focus on continuous improvement

    Managing & Conducting Human Resource Activities

  • Provide guidance and direction to subordinates; set performance standards

  • Develop training programs and ensure ongoing staff development

  • Strive to improve employee retention and satisfaction

  • Ensure fair treatment and recognition of employees

    Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide information to supervisors, co‑workers, and subordinates

  • Analyze information to solve problems

  • Assist servers and hosts during peak periods

  • Recognize quality products and presentations

  • Supervise daily shift operations in absence of Assistant Restaurant Manager

  • Oversee financial aspects including purchasing and invoice payments
