Mandela National Stadium Accounts Assistant Jobs in Uganda

Responsibilities

Ensure that bank accounts and the cash books are reconciled on a monthly basis;

Ensure that all expenditure vouchers are properly authorized and backed by supporting documents;

Preparation of journal entries for authorization;

Update all accounts and reconcile them to the General Ledger;

Ensure reconciliation of records of the debtors, contingency and all liability accounts;

Participate in the preparation of periodic accounts and reports;

Assist in updating the Assets register;

Follow up on the unaccounted for funds from debtors;

Ensuring proper classification of transactions as assets, liabilities, income and expenses;

Preparing timely and periodic reports on customer balances, debtors and creditors;

Preparing bank reconciliation and cash flow statements;

Filing and coding of all vouchers/documents as per chart of accounts, including proper verification of receipts and payments to ensure accuracy of information;

Stock verification and internal control;

Any other duties as shall be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

Degree in Business Administration, B.Com, BAF (Majoring in Accounting) or its equivalent

Possession of level one of ACCA or CPA (U) is an added advantage

Computer literacy and knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc

Excellent knowledge of Tally accounting software

Two (2) years of relevant experience
