Makini High School Teacher of Music Jobs in Kenya


Makini High School Teacher of Music Jobs in Kenya;We are seeking a teacher to actively encourage and facilitate the formation of each student’s moral character, unique skills, and talents through continuous improvement in quality education.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop the ethos of the school in line with directions from the Directors and Principal

  • Teach classes and ensure planning, preparation, assessment, and reporting meet diverse student needs

  • Contribute to constructive team‑building among staff, parents, and Directors

  • Ensure agreed conditions of employment for teachers are met

  • Implement school policies and guidelines in consultation with the Principal

  • Support initiatives decided by the Principal and staff

  • Plan lessons to meet student needs through differentiated tasks

  • Set clear learning targets based on prior attainment

  • Provide a stimulating classroom environment with accessible resources

  • Keep accurate records of work, integrating formative and summative assessments

  • Report to parents on student progress and attainment

  • Maintain discipline in line with school behavior policy

  • Participate in meetings related to school management, curriculum, and administration

  • Lead, organize, and direct classroom support staff

  • Participate in performance management for effective service delivery

  • Attend staff meetings, seminars, and co‑curricular events

  • Carry out supervisory duties and assist with out‑of‑school activities as required

  • Ensure prompt student attendance and report absences
    to the Principal or Deputy Principal

  • Promote a professional image and uphold the school’s standards

  • Undertake duties reasonably within the nature of the post as directed by senior management

    Requirements

    Education & Experience

  • Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent from a recognized institution

  • Registered TSC member

  • Minimum 3 years’ teaching experience in a recognized school (Cambridge curriculum preferred)

  • Competence in teaching Environmental Management (advantageous)

    Skills, Knowledge, Abilities & Values

  • Strong knowledge of current educational issues in specialist subject areas

  • Leadership and interpersonal skills; embrace team spirit

  • Ability to work with a diverse student body

  • Self‑driven, inspirational, and motivational approach to teaching
