Madison Group Limited Unit Manager - Retail Business Healthcare Division - Meru Branch Jobs in Kenya




The Unit Manager; will be responsible for meeting revenue targets for Retail Business and SMEs, covering both new and renewal business. The role involves introducing healthcare products to intermediaries and partners, driving growth, and ensuring compliance with insurance regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Sales

  • Drive growth of the Business Unit by meeting revenue targets for SME and Family/Individual healthcare products.

  • Introduce company products and services to intermediaries and recruit new intermediaries as per set targets.

  • Identify new opportunities for growth in SMEs and Individual/Family Healthcare Products.

  • Coordinate marketing campaigns to prospective customers.

    Stakeholder Engagement

  • Establish and maintain strong business relationships with intermediaries and partners.

  • Coordinate training of intermediaries on products and processes.

  • Handle queries and issues from intermediaries and clients regarding products and processes.

    Compliance & Operations

  • Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and company policies.

  • Ensure timely payment of premiums in line with company’s credit policy.

  • Provide market feedback to Healthcare Operations Departments to support quality service delivery.

  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities.

    Customer Focus

  • Ensure achievement of customer expectations in liaison with relevant business sections.

  • Promote customer retention and satisfaction through
    effective service delivery.

    Other Duties

  • Perform any other responsibilities assigned by management.

    Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in insurance sales, especially healthcare.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare insurance products and sales.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.

  • High level of motivation and results‑oriented mindset.

  • Integrity and ethical standards.

  • Customer focus.

    Academic & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Marketing, or related field (Mandatory).

  • Certificate of Insurance (COP) or progress in AIIK/ACII qualification.

  • Postgraduate Diploma (AIIK, ACII, or CIM).
