The University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the above vacancies in Administration Division.

Maasai Mara University is a fast growing Public University located 2km from Narok Town, off the Narok-Bomet Road.

Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration, Finance & Planning) For appointment to this position, an applicant:

Job Requirements

  • Must possess MB, CHB Degrees(s).
  • Must be registered with Kenya Medical
  • Practitioners and Dentists Board. Must be Computer Literate.
  • Demonstrate evidence of Continuing medical education will be an added advantage.
  • Must have at least three (3) years’ experience in a busy Hospital/Medical Institution.

    Duties

  • Plan and implement the projects and programs related to curative and preventive services with the aim of reducing disease prevalence.
  • Provision of epidemiological surveillance on diseases so as to map and develop the disease patterns.
  • Participate in the development of the Procurement Plan for the requisition of the drugs and medical equipment.
  • To supervise the staff assigned to the Medical Unit so as to ensure the targets set out on the execution of tasks has been achieved by various staff and initiate the disciplinary process for the staff within the health services.
  • Develop proposal for health funding of health projects in consultation with the management with the aim of improving the health of staff and clients.
  • Conducting clinics on regular basis for follow-up of patients with chronic medical conditions and any other patient deserved to be requiring regular review.
  • Provide input into health budgeting process.
    Advice University Management on Students and Staff Medical Policy matters.
  • Performing any other task relevant to the profession as may be assigned from time to time.

    Maasai Mara University Senior Legal Officer Jobs in Kenya

    Ref: MMU/AD/09/2017 – Grade 13

    Maasai Mara University is a fast growing Public University located 2km from Narok Town, off the Narok-Bomet Road.

    Requirements

  • Have a Bachelors degree in law from a recognized University.
  • A postgraduate Diploma from Kenya “School of Law (KSL)
  • Be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current practicing certificate.
  • Have served in the position of Legal Officer for a period of five (5) years
  • Have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
  • Have a Masters degree in Law from a recognized University.
  • Must be computer literate Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration, Finance and Planning), the main duties will include:
  • Supervision of staff in the legal section Handling and advising on all legal matters for the University
  • Assist contracted university lawyers in all court proceedings involving the University which include:

    Responsibilities

  • Preparation of documents to be used as evidence in court.
  • Holding of pre-trial briefings of witnesses and or University representative.
  • Gathering of evidence, facts, and exchange of the same with University lawyers.
  • Attending of court and briefing the University Authority on the development of cases.
  • Ensuring that witnesses attend court sessions when called upon to do so
  • Preparation of agreements and/or contracts for approval by relevant parties.
  • Perusal and advising the University on
    fees payable to contracted University lawyers as per the advocate’s remuneration order.
  • Ensuring that the University adheres to the laid down procedures and regulations in employee matters, disciplinary measures and other relevant matter which has implications.
  • Attend and counsel on staff and students disciplinary cases.
  • Guide and assist in the review and interpretation of the University Statues.
  • Any other duties relevant to the profession as may be assigned from time to time.

    Ref: MMU/AD/08/2017 – Grade 13

    The University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the above vacancies in Administration Division.

    Requirements

  • Possess a Masters Degree in the following disciplines; Business Administration Economics Commerce (Procurement/supplies Management Option) or its equivalent from a recognized University.
  • Have working experience of six (6) years.
  • Have served in the grade of Deputy / Procurement / Supplies Officer or comparable and relevant position for at least three (3) years.
  • Be a registered member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
  • Have attended Management Course(s) lasting at least four (4) weeks.
  • Have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
  • Must be computer literate.

    Duties

  • Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration, Finance and Planning), the Senior Procurement Officer will be responsible for the overall functioning of the procurement Department in the University following duties and responsibilities;
  • Supervision of procurement personnel.
  • Planning and coordination of procurement.
  • Implementation and enforcement of University procurement regulations and procedures.
  • Preparation of Annual Plans and Budget.
    Control of supplies vote, verification and disposal of unserviceable stores.
  • Responsible for staff training and development in the department. Any other duties relevant to the profession as may be assigned from time to time.
