Mission and Activities

MISSIONS To provide English instruction to elementary school students in consultation with the teachers of the different classes.

A major player in the construction of the children’s career path and personality, he must above all be an outstanding
teacher with the mission of spreading the French educational system abroad.

Functions

As part of his or her duties, the English teacher is called upon to teach English but also to take part in the various tasks related to the mission of a teacher:

• Active participation in pedagogical consultations with colleagues.

• Design and implement modalities for the evaluation of student learning.

• Design and implement level tests.

• Implement learning or teaching situations within the framework of the French national education programs.

• Impart curriculum knowledge.

• Develop skills including abilities, attitudes and know-how.

• Ensure a personalized follow-up of the students in connection with the families.

• Contribute to the operation of the school and teamwork.

Required Skills

• To know the competences and levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) which will be used as a reference for learning and assessment.

• Excellent written and oral expression in English is mandatory.

• French language is a plus.

• Mastering disciplinary knowledge and its didactics.

• Build, implement and lead teaching

and learning situations that consider the diversity of students.

• Organize and ensure a group operating mode that promotes learning and socialization of the students.

• To evaluate the progress and the acquisitions of the students.

• Knowledge of the French educational system is a plus.

• Knowledge of the general organization and functioning of the school.

• Very good computer and digital tools skills, especially office software.

Required Qualities

• Pedagogical and interpersonal skills.

• Patient with great listening ability.

• Firm and rigorous.

• Sense of initiative.

• Versatile.

• Taste for teamwork (teachers, director, health department, etc.).

• Ability to adapt (different class levels).

• Appetence for French culture.

Required Diploma & Experience

• +3 years of higher studies in education.

• Professional experience in a French institution is a plus
