Living Goods - Regional Technical Support Officer Jobs in Uganda


Objective:

  • Provide high quality end user training and IT support on hardware and software plus testing & implementation of new technology related business ideas.

    Key Responsibilities

    IT Training

  • Develop job aids/Training material to assist end users/trainees in effective system utilization.

  • Deliver IT training to end users during the different trainings e.g. in-services, base trainings
    and TOT

  • Base training delivery and support

  • IT Project Roll outs

  • Championing of roll outs of new systems, apps and other it products (piloting new apps and
    updates)

  • Reporting feedback and suggesting necessary changes

    Maintenance

  • Bi-annual Maintenance of all IT devices in branches in a working order

  • Diagnose and provide solutions/repair or refer any device issues

  • Device setup, configuration and mapping to LG-IT standards

  • IT Support

  • Provide fast response working IT solutions to any Tech issues at branch level or field

  • Analyze Tickets (help desk) and issue/call logs in order to discover any trends or underlying
    issues in the Living goods IT Systems

  • Development

  • Design and automate all repetitive IT processes to simplify and quicken processes within the
    department

  • Document, deploy and share any findings with the rest of the team

    Academic Qualifications:

  • BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology or any
    related field.

  • At least one IT Professional Certification is a must

  • At least 2-year experience troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults;

    Work Experience

  • Experience operating and troubleshooting Android smartphones a must.

  • Willingness to travel to all LG Operational areas.

  • Strong customer focus with exposure to service desk operations

  • Ability to manage and prioritize many open cases at once

  • Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution;

  • Ability to prioritize your workload

  • Excellent verbal communications skills in English, Luganda and Kiswahili.

  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
