Summary

  • The purpose of this role is to lead in the design, implementation and reporting on donor and special projects.

    Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project & partnership plans to be shared internally and with external stakeholders.

  • Define key performance indicators and routinely measure and report project performance (weekly, monthly, quarterly reports) using appropriate tools and techniques.

  • Denvelop, implement and monitor project operating budgets inclusive of trainings, staff level of effort, stake holder engagements, research, and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.

  • Ensure that all projects & partnerships are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

  • Perform risk assessment and come up with suggestions to minimize project risks

  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders including ministry of health, district leadership, implementing partners and the community.

  • Manages communications across the organization especially sharing project updates and best practices.

  • Work with field operations teams to ensure a high level of compliance and quality in project activity executions.

  • Monitor
    implementation across field operations to track progress specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals

  • Attend meetings, conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

    Education and Experience

  • At least 7 years of project management experience in the health sector

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus

  • Bachelor's Degree in health-related disciplines, Maters degree is a plus
