Lily Hospitals Limited Medical Laboratory Intern Jobs in Nigeria;We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Medical Laboratory Intern to join our laboratory team.

This internship offers hands‑on experience in a professional clinical laboratory environment under the supervision of qualified Medical Laboratory Scientists.

The successful candidate will support routine laboratory activities including specimen reception and processing, documentation, quality‑control procedures, equipment maintenance, and compliance with laboratory safety and infection‑prevention standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in receiving, processing, and analyzing patient specimens under supervision.

  • Perform routine laboratory procedures in accordance with established protocols.

  • Support the preparation of reagents, media, and laboratory equipment.

  • Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of specimens.

  • Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and work areas.

  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.

  • Adhere to infection prevention, laboratory safety, and waste management protocols.

  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.

  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and continuous learning activities.

  • Carry out any other duties assigned by the Head of the Laboratory.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant qualification in Medical Laboratory Science.

  • Current practising licence or eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and willingness to learn.

  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

  • Ability to work flexible hours,
    including weekends and public holidays, where required.

  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the job location.
