Legal Action Worldwide Programme Coordinator Jobs in Kenya; The Programme Coordinator will support Programme Managers and partners in capacity building, training, and implementation of evidence-based interventions across Somalia, South Sudan, and Sudan. The role requires a gender-sensitive and trauma-informed approach, with travel to programme regions.
ResponsibilitiesProgrammatic Support and coordinate project teams to ensure high-quality programming.
Engage with stakeholders to advance programme goals and protection delivery for GBV survivors.
Support capacity building and training of civil society organisations.
Conduct participatory research and surveys for evidence-based programming.
Support MEL activities and use of M&E tools.
Contribute to drafting narrative reports and liaise with partners for timely reporting.
Organise strategy and coordination meetings.
Compile and analyse global indicators for monthly reporting.
Provide operational support ensuring compliance with LAW policies.
Communications
Maintain communication with partners and track their work.
Participate in coordination meetings/workshops for knowledge-sharing, especially on GBV prevention.
Fundraising
Draft concept notes to expand LAW’s programmes.
Support review, evaluation, and production of impact and donor reports.
Other Duties
Perform other tasks as specified by Programme Manager or Senior Management Team.
Role Holder Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Human Rights, International Law, or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in international criminal law, human
rights law, or refugee law.
At least 4 years’ experience managing humanitarian/development projects.
Essential experience with GBV survivors and vulnerable individuals.
Knowledge of protection interventions, interviews with at-risk communities, and gender programming preferred.
Experience establishing partnerships with NGOs and government institutions desirable.
Experience managing programme expenditures, compliance, and logistics/security duties.
Strong workload management, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Fluency in English; Arabic highly desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong technical literacy.
Contract Details
Duration: 12 months, full-time (possibility of extension subject to funding)
Salary: KES 3,660,000 – 3,780,000 per year (based on experience) plus benefits
Location: Nairobi, Kenya (legal right to work required)
