Job Description

College Background information

Ledeg Midwifery College is a non-for-profit health science college dedicated to provide Midwifery Education at degree (BSC) level. It is providing the training at Generic (12 complete for four years) and upgrade (nurse diploma and/or Level-4 midwife for two and half years) levels.

The college has got accreditation by HERQA and license by the Ministry of Trade in 2018. The college is aspiring to be a Center of Excellence in Midwifery training producing highly qualified BSC midwives at national and international standard.

We employ a “Social Enterprise Model”—charging reasonable school fee for those from urban towns and offer full scholarship for students from emerging regions (where maternal and child death is relatively high).

Main duties and responsibilities

As a Lab attendant: Support students to use computer software and hardware, Handle IT lab equipments, perform minor equipment maintenance. Assist students in using the computer lab and utilizing computer software and hardware. And other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

As a Librarian: Assist students in finding references and other reading material, Help

students to use electronic reading materials. Control the overall library functions.

Job Requirements

Required Educational level/Specialization

Diploma/ Level IV TVET certificate in Information Technology (IT) or related Field of study

Years of Experience

At least 2 years experience working as IT lab assistant , librarian , data encoder and other related experience

Number required: One

Mode of employment

One year contract with possible extension. (Full Time).

working Hour for this position will be Monday to Friday 04:00 to 1:00 (Local Time)
