Lathe Operator (Roller Sharpener) Job at At Nyayo Tea Zones Development Corporation

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Plant Technician, the job holder will be involved in the operation of Lathe Machines to perform various maintenance activities of all factory machines to ensure machine availability and efficiency at all times.

Responsibilities for the Lathe Operator Job:

  • CTC Rollers sharpening.
  • CTC Rollers changing.
  • Checking roller cutting efficiency.
  • Multi-purpose lathe operation.
  • General machine service.
  • Record keeping and update of documents.
  • Attending machines breakdowns.
  • Inspection of various factory machines.

    Lathe Operator Job Qualifications

  • KCSE C(Plain)
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in similar processing plant.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Keen to details
  • Be a team player
  • Be self-motivated
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate in MS Office and other office applications.
  • Note:All candidates must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on leadership and integrity, and obtain appropriate certification from the;
  • Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
  • Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
  • Directorate of Criminal Investigations,
  • High Education Loans
    Board (HELB).
  • Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
