Kwale County Government Assistant Health Records and Information Management Officer III Jobs in Kenya



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and document patients at hospital reception.

  • Register and book appointments for clinics and consultants.

  • Store and retrieve medical records documents.

  • Prepare clinics and update bed bureau.

  • Edit patient case records and gather data from multiple sources.

  • Capture data from service points and maintain confidentiality.

  • Balance daily bed returns and maintain master index.

  • Update patient master index and direct patients to relevant clinics.

  • Schedule patients to consultants and specialty clinics.

  • Assign codes to diseases and procedures per ICD standards.

  • Prepare health records and reports.

  • Perform any other relevant duty within the County Health Department.

    Requirements
  • Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology.

  • Registration certificate from the Health Records and Information Management Board.

  • Valid practicing license from the Health Records and Information Management Board.

  • Certificate in Computer Applications.
