Responsibilities

  • Performing specialized diagnostic procedures like endoscopies to diagnose

  • Managing both inpatients and outpatients with gastro-intestinal disorders

  • Consulting with other specialists, such as oncologists, in the case of

  • Performing advanced GI procedures such as ERCP, stenting of esophagus, dilation of strictures

  • Should be able to supervise registrars and medical

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from a recognized institution

  • Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine or general surgery from a recognized institution

  • Fellowship in gastroentology

  • Registration with the Kenya Medical
  • Practitioners and Dentists Council as a gastroentologist

  • Recognition as a specialist by the KPDMC

  • Valid Practice


  • Professional Insurance Indemnity Cover

  • Proficiency in computer applications

  • At least 3 years’ working experience as a
    Gastroenterologist in a reputable hospital
