Position Summary
Reporting to the Supervisor, HMIS Support, the ICT Assistant (HMIS Support) is responsible for offering first
level HMIS Support to users across the Hospital. This role is based in the HMIS Support Office under the ICT
Applications, Multimedia & Support Section of the ICT department at KUTRRH.


Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide first level support to users of the Hospital Management Information System.
  • Handle user support tickers using the ticketing software.
  • Offer general ICT support to issues that affect the HMIS.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the HMIS and notify the developer on any downtimes.
  • Testing of changes made in various modules of the HMIS and other related software.
  • Any other work-related duties assigned by your supervisor.


    Minimum Qualifications
  • A Diploma in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Telecommunications/ Electrical/ Telecommunications Engineering/ Health Informatics/ Electronics Health Records or a related course from a recognized institution.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP.
  • Experience in working with IT Support or Project management Ticketing Systems.
  • Experience in offering IT support in a busy environment. Experience in working in a Hospital/ Medical environment will be an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting of hardware and software.
  • At least two (2) years of working experience in the ICT field.
