The Company

Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is the principal revenue collector for the Government of Kenya, with the primary goal to deliver Kenya to financial self-sufficiency through effective tax revenue mobilization.

KRA seeks a result oriented, self-driven individual of high integrity to fill the position of Commissioner Corporate Support Services.

Purpose of the job:

The Commissioner of Corporate Support Services reports to the Commissioner General and is responsible for coordinating administrative support services including Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain, Information and Communication Technology, Facilities and Logistics, Performance Contracting and Security and Safety Services.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for each of the specialist divisions;
  • Ensure that support services respond effectively to the needs of user departments by formulating and regularly reviewing divisional strategies and policies;
  • Foster a culture that rewards performance and encourages teamwork, commitment and self motivation;
  • Optimize Human Capital potential within the Authority;
  • Ensure the provision of efficient financial resource management services;
  • Oversee the efficient delivery of technology related services;
  • Ensure the provision of facilities, equipment and tools that optimize working environment to support employee productivity;
  • Oversee the provision of efficient supply chain management services;
  • Ensure the development and implementation of strategies that provide a secure and safe work environment and the protection of KRA property.

    Requirements
  • University Degree from a recognized University;
  • At least fifteen (15) years’ working experience, with at least ten (10) years being at senior leadership role in corporate management operations in a large public or private organisation;
  • Possession of a Master’s degree and relevant professional qualification shall confer added advantage;

  • Demonstrate commercial acumen and appreciation of public financial management; and
  • Demonstrate innovativeness in delivering business solutions through technology utilisation.

  • The appointment is for a three-year term, renewable for one further term subject to relevant public service regulations governing staff tenure.
