KPMG Quality & Risk Management Associate Jobs in Kenya

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and conducting compliance review programmes and related reporting.

  • Review standard and non-standard contracts, recommend amendments and assess risk mitigation measures.

  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments, maintain regulatory trackers and support compliance action plans.

  • Conduct due diligence studies on regulatory, compliance and related matters as required by clients.

  • Conduct general and specific market research to support client assignments and provide background information.

  • Respond to queries from Business Units relating to projects and assigned tasks.

  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal business units to achieve departmental and firm objectives.

    Academic and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law.

  • Completion of the Kenya School of Law and admission to, or awaiting admission to, the Roll of Advocates.

  • Knowledge of data protection and anti-money laundering laws within East Africa.

  • Minimum one (1) to two (2) years of experience in a busy legal, compliance or regulatory environment.

  • Exposure to risk management-related work is an added advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent coordination and planning skills.

  • Ability to work effectively across diverse African jurisdictions and cultures.

  • Resilience, tenacity and the ability to manage difficult client conversations.

  • Comfortable with multitasking, flexibility and making timely decisions.

  • High level of integrity.
