We are looking to hire a dedicated communication (social media manager officer) to join our team. The communications officer will support our internal and external communications strategy, write and disseminate publicity materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our partners.

  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, website content, annual reports, and other material that communicates the organization’s activities and services.

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships and maintain a media database.

  • Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the organization and its objectives.

  • Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.

  • Manage conflict as it arises and escalate to management.

  • Develop, support and promote organization goals, including message development, social media content creation and media outreach

  • Develop and disseminate public relations materials that increase our visibility among stakeholders and lawmakers

  • Keeping up to date with advances in social media technology and the latest social media platforms.

  • Ensuring that approaches to social media are relevant and appropriate for each medium.

  • Developing, editing a content calendar across all platforms ensuring a constant supply of relevant content.

  • Planning and delivery of community management strategies through social media.

  • Performs any other duties assigned by the project team lead/ manager.

    Minimum Requirements and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in
    communications, journalism, or related field.

  • Minimum of 2-5 years’ relevant experience in a communications role.

  • Knowledge of desktop publishing software (InDesign/Photoshop).

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

  • Good time management and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms.

  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge

    Terms of Employment:

  • 1 year Renewable Contract

  • Probation period for the first 3 Month
