KNQA Principal Registration, Accreditation and Documentation Officer Jobs in Kenya


For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

  • Eight (8) years’ work experience four (4) of which must have been in a supervisory role;

  • Bachelor’s degree (KNQF Level 7 or equivalent) in Education, Engineering, Architecture or related field from a recognized university in Kenya;

  • Master’s Degree (KNQF Level 9) in Curriculum development, quality assurance, assessment and
    examination and higher education from a recognized university in Kenya;

  • Professional qualification and membership where applicable;

  • Management course lasting not less four (4) weeks;

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

  • Fulfil the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution;

    Key Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Initiating the development, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and reviewing of regulations, policies and guidelines on accreditation of qualifications;

  • Initiating the development, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and reviewing regulations, policies and guidelines on registration & accreditation qualifications;

  • Initiating the development of standards, guidelines and tools for qualification accreditation purposes;

  • Coordinate the maintenance of a national data base of
    qualification accredited in Kenya;

  • Advising institutions and individuals on accreditation of institution;

  • Supervising the planning for and scheduling of site visits to institutions and reporting;

  • Coordinating technical/full inspections and preparation of reports;

  • Supervising the administration of self-evaluation by institutions and reporting;

  • Recruitment and facilitation for the training of accreditation and registration peer reviewers;

  • Maintaining a database of accreditation and registration peer reviewers;

  • Maintaining linkage and partnerships with other qualifications bodies;

  • Liaising with education regulatory bodies, curriculum developers, qualifications awarding bodies and other government ministries and agencies;
