KICC is in the process of recruiting suitable person and invites applications for the following posts:
The Principal Planning Officer reports to the Planning Manager and is responsible for developing and implementation performance contracts, research plans, initiatives, monitoring and evaluation.
Duties for the Principal Planning Officer Job
Developing and implementing research and development plans, procedures and techniques
Assisting management and internal clients to understand the results and implications of research and development initiatives
Interpreting the results of research reports and recommend new products or services based on research analysis
Providing advice on research and development options available to the organization
Monitoring any developments in the research area and work out how these may affect the organization
Publishing results of significant research projects in various Marketing journals and periodicals
Developing and implement knowledge management and knowledge sharing framework in the corporation
Designing and implement performance monitoring system to ensure organization’s objectives and ensure targets are met
Preparing departmental quarterly and annual performance reports
Coordinating Annual
Corporate performance contract evaluation exercise
Coordinating the development and implementation of departmental annual business plans
Cascading the Corporate performance Contract to the Directorate and departmental levels
Monitoring and evaluate implementation of the KICC Directorates’ and departmental performance contracts
Principal Planning Officer Job Requirements
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-
A minimum period six of (6) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been at the level of senior officer
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Strategy, Marketing, Business Administration or any other related field from a recognized institution
Master’s Degree in Economics, Strategy, Marketing, Business Administration and any other related field from a recognized institution
Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation course
Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks
Proficiency in computer applications
Fulfilling the requirements of Chapter Six of the
Constitution

Directorate of Criminal Investigation (certificate of good conduct)
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) – Tax Compliance
Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)

Terms of offer
The successful candidate’s appointment will be as follows:-
Job Grade KICC2 shall be appointed on a contract of five (5) years renewable once subject to performance
Job Grade KICC 3 shall be appointed on a contract of five (5) years renewable subject to performance.
Job Grade KICC 4, Job Grade KICC 5, Job Grade KICC 6 and Job Grade KICC 7 shall be appointed on permanent and pensionable terms
