The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) is a State Corporation established by an Act of Parliament, under the Ministry of Health, entrusted with the role of training various disciplines in the health sector to serve the Kenyan interests, East Africa and beyond. The College has 72 Campuses strategically located in various parts of the country. The graduates of the College account for more than 85% of the mid-level work force in the health facilities in Kenya.

The KMTC Board of Directors seeks to recruit competent, result Oriented, knowledgeable, dynamic, visionary and experienced persons to fill the following vacant positions tenable at the Kenya Medical Training College Headquarters and its Campuses:


Job Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will involve

  • Driving a motor vehicle as authorized; carrying out routine checks on the vehicle's cooling, oil, electrical and brake systems, tyre pressure;
  • Carrying out minor repairs including oiling and greasing;
  • Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicle systems;
  • Maintenance of work tickets for vehicles assigned;
  • Ensuring security and safety for the vehicle on and off the road; ensuring safety of the passengers and/or goods therein; and maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle.


    Requirements for Appointments For appointment to this level a candidate must have; -
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KSCE) mean grade D+ (Plus) or its equivalent
    qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for class(es) of vehicle(s) an officer is required to drive;
  • First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized Institution; 199 (iv) Suitability test for Driver Grade III;
  • Practical Test for Drivers;
  • Certificate
    of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police;
  • At least two (2) years driving experience; and
  • Fulfilled the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution

  • In addition, Applicants for all the above positions will be required to submit copies of membership of Professional Registration (where applicable); Certificates of clearance from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA); Ethics and Anticorruption Commission (EACC); Higher Education Loans Board (HELB); Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) and a Certificate of Good Conduct from Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI)
