Job Description

For appointment to this grade, an officer must demonstrate merit, ability, and leadership in work performance and results, alongside the following qualifications and experience.

Qualifications / Work Experience

  • Academic Bachelor’s Degree in Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Science, or equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution.

  • Academic Master’s Degree in Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Science, or equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution.

  • Professional Cumulative service period of nine (9) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist I or in a comparable position.

  • Professional Registered with a relevant professional body (where applicable).

  • Professional Valid practising license from the relevant professional body (where applicable).

  • Professional Demonstrated merit, ability, and leadership as reflected in work performance and results.
