Responsibilities

Content Creation & Scheduling

  • Draft, design, and schedule posts across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok).

  • Showcase farmer impact, mobility services, and organisational milestones.

    Storytelling & Field Content

  • Work with field and hub teams to gather photos, videos, and testimonials.

  • Use collected content for social media storytelling.

    Community Engagement

  • Monitor comments, messages, and mentions across platforms.

  • Respond to or escalate queries to maintain active online presence.

    Analytics & Reporting

  • Track engagement metrics (reach, likes, shares, follower growth).

  • Prepare simple monthly reports to inform content strategy.

    Design Support

  • Create basic graphics and short‑form videos using Canva or similar tools.

  • Support newsletter and campaign visuals.

    Campaign Support

  • Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns and challenges (e.g., Kilikawi Challenge).

    Marketing Support

  • Support Data & Innovations team with promotional materials and event marketing.

  • Ensure brand consistency across digital and print materials.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

  • Recently completed degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or related field.

  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and content formats (Reels, Stories, short‑form video).

  • Graphic design or video editing skills (Canva, CapCut) a plus.

  • Strong written communication skills in English; Kiswahili an advantage.

  • Interest in rural development, agriculture, or mobility preferred.

    Technical Competencies

  • Comfortable using smartphone for photography and videography.

  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Buffer) a plus.

  • Basic understanding of social media analytics and engagement metrics.

    Core Competencies

  • Creative, detail‑oriented, and skilled in visual storytelling.

  • Proactive and able to work independently with light supervision.

  • Strong organisational skills and reliability with content calendars.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to hub locations for content gathering.

  • Open to feedback and a fast learner.
