Kisii County Superintendent Water Engineer Jobs in Kenya

The Kisii County Government invites applications from suitable and qualified Kenyan Citizens to fill vacancies pursuant to Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and Section 63 of the County Government Act, 2012.

Duties and Responsibilities

Preliminary assessments and designs for Water projects which include; Earth dams, sand/ subsurface dams, Water pipelines and Rock catchments;

Carrying out actual surveys for all water works;

Production of detailed technical designs and reports for the surveyed works;

Production of technical designs drawings;

Interpretation of complex water and sewerage works designs;

Supervision of water works;

Valuation and estimation of engineering works undertaken by contractors;

Preparation of technical site plans;

Production of work estimates (bill of Quantities) and project costs;

In liaison with other officers, compile technical project reports;

Advise the directorate on project technical details;

Carrying out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements and Competencies

Be a Kenyan Citizen.

Be in possession of a BSc. Degree or Higher Diploma in Water/Civil Engineering;

Have experience of at least three (3) years in related assignment;

Demonstrate high level of technical understanding of water infrastructure.

Practical knowledge on survey using GPS, Theodolite, Total station/ or Real Time Kinematic.

Proficiency in Computer Aided Designs.

Ability to plan and prioritize field assignment.
