Kisii County Plumber/Meter Reader Jobs in Kenya

The Kisii County Government invites applications from suitable and qualified Kenyan Citizens to fill vacancies pursuant to Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and Section 63 of the County Government Act, 2012.

Duties and Responsibilities

The plumbers shall be responsible for installation, repair and maintenance of draw pipes and pipe systems, raising mains and water distribution systems in the county. Meter readers shall be responsible for reading and collecting accurate data while providing timely reports and feedback. Specifically;

Carry out installation and repair works.

Travel to commercial and Homes to read, connect and disconnect meters.

Gather water utility data and record appropriately for subsequent reporting and decision making.

Maintenance of Government Housing and Building daily and preparation of budget to do minor repairs.

Detect faults and damages in meters and rectify for continuity of the work.

Maintenance of hydration machine.

Attends to any breakdown arising from the borehole systems, raising mains and distribution lines.

Does the extension of existing water and drainage systems.

Carrying out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements and Competencies

For appointment to this Position, a Candidate must; -

Be a Kenyan Citizen.

Possess Certificate in Plumbing/Pipe fitting or equivalent and Certificate in meter reading from recognized institutions respectively,

Have at least 3 Years Industrial and/or Working Experience and,

Have Government Grade Test Certificate Grade III in the areas of specialization.
