  • The Kisii County Government invites applications from suitable and qualified Kenyan Citizens to fill vacancies pursuant to Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and Section 63 of the County Government Act, 2012.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrating to traders and skin flayers on the appropriate methods of flaying, cleaning, curing and storage of hides and skins;

  • Ensuring that hides and skins are delivered to the curing premises immediately after flaying, collecting hides and skin data on production;

  • Grading, identifying defects and issuing dispatch notes to facilitate hides and skins movement as a disease control measure; and

  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    Requirements and Competencies

    For appointment to this grade, one must: -

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen

  • Be a holder of a two-year certificate in either Hides and Skins Improvement or Leather Technology from a recognized institution;

  • Have a Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.

  • Have at least three (3) years’ field experience.
