Kisii County Government Chairperson, County Public Service Board Jobs in Kenya



The CEC Member in charge of Trade calls for qualified persons to apply for the following advertised positions pursuant to provision of section 4(4)(h) and Section 9(4)(h) of The Tharaka Nithi County Alcoholic Drinks Control Act,2015.

Responsibilities


  • Chair meetings of the board
  • Guide the Board in Exercising disciplinary control over and removal of persons holing or acting in those offices as provided for under this part.
  • Prepare regular reports for submissions to the county assembly on the execution of the functions of the board.
  • Promote the County Public Service values and principles referred to in articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010
  • Advice the County Government on human resource management and development.
  • Advice the County Government on implementation and monitoring of the national performance management system in the county.
  • Make recommendation to the salaries and remuneration commission on behalf of the county government on the remuneration, pension and gratuities for county public service employees.


    Requirements


  • Be a Kenyan Citizen
  • Be a holder of a first degree from a University recognized ¡n Kenya (A Master’s degree or higher qualification will be an added advantage).
  • Have a knowledge and working experience of not less than ten (10) years in Administration and management.
  • Be a professional who demonstrates absence of breach of the relevant professional code of conduct
  • Not a public or state officer
  • Understand the diversity with the County
  • Be capable of working under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Be a visionary and strategic thinker
  • Be committed to be
    part of a team that will enable the County Government achieve her vision.
  • Satisfy the requirement of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya on leadership and integrity
  • Have thorough knowledge of the structural, legislative and regulatory framework of the public service.


    Note: Applicants for the above positions are required to get (valid) clearance from the underlisted organizations to meet requirements of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya 2010.

  • Kenya Revenue Authority.
  • Higher Education Loans Board.
  • Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
  • Criminal Investigation Department.
  • Credit Reference Bureau.
  • Copies of these clearances MUST be attached to the applications.
