Kirinyaga University Maintenance Officer Jobs in Kenya

Key Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance of physical facilities, housekeeping, and grounds.

Prepare architectural and structural drawings.

Prepare cost estimates for maintenance and new construction projects.

Conduct site measurements for project valuation.

Coordinate artisans’ work as assigned.

Ensure proper utilization of materials to avoid loss.

Conduct routine maintenance surveillance.

Collaborate in implementing maintenance schedules for physical facilities.

Ensure contractors and consultants deliver quality services and workmanship.

Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Architecture from a recognized institution.

Diploma/Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Architecture is an added advantage.

Minimum of six (6) years’ relevant work experience, with at least three (3) years at the grade of Maintenance Officer II in a comparable position or University setup.

Registration with the relevant professional body.
