Key Responsibilities

Teach and evaluate undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Set, moderate, administer, process, and mark examinations.

Provide academic advising and mentoring to students.

Develop teaching and learning materials.

Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in research activities.

Develop research proposals for funding.

Participate in meetings and conferences to build interdisciplinary collaboration.

Contribute to preparation of Department and Faculty strategic plans.

Organize and supervise educational activities for students.

Attend and participate in seminars, workshops, and conferences in relevant fields.

Engage in administrative, academic, and consultancy activities within the Department and other organizations.

Participate in planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of curricula.

Attend Departmental meetings and contribute to effective management of the Department and Faculty.

Undertake administrative duties and other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

PhD or equivalent degree qualification in Physical Education or related field from an accredited and recognized university; registered or registerable with the relevant professional body (where applicable).

OR Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university (in special cases) with at least three (3) years’ teaching experience at university level or in research/industry.

Minimum of twenty‑four (24) publication points, of which at least ten (10) should be from refereed journal papers.

Registration with a relevant professional body (where applicable).
