Kiptagich Tea Estates Human Resource Manager Jobs in Nakuru

Our client Kiptagich Tea Estates Limited is an industrial tea processing and export-based organization, seeking to recruit a high caliber, results oriented, experienced and highly skilled individual for the position of Human Resource Manager


The Human Resource manager will play a critical function in developing and implementing the human resource planning for Kiptagich Tea Estates Limited.


As a member of the leadership team, the HR will be in a position to handle industrial relations regarding the staff and farmer’s union, instituting relevant policies and advising on human resource forecasting.

He/she will be responsible for overseeing all staff welfare responsibilities for the organization.


Responsibilities


  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; advisory on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
  • Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
  • Stakeholders management; to manage the unions that exist within the staff faculty and the farmers; address all matters arising in view of the any industrial agreements;
  • Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
  • Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management;
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource requirements;
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system;
    keeping past and current records.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, industrial action redresses; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies e.g. IHRM.
  • Performance management of all employees.
  • Maintains human resource staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

    Qualifications


  • A minimum of a bachelor commerce degree in human resource
  • A diploma in human resource
  • Registration with IHRM
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior level of Human Resource role
  • Experience in handling industrial/farmers union shall be an added advantage
