Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must;

• Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering/ Water Resources, Hydrology or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University.

• Have relevant working experience of not less than (10) years.

• Be registered with a relevant professional body.

• Demonstrate merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

Duties and responsibilities

This Officer will report to the Director, Water & Sanitation. Specific duties will entail;

• Develop and implement policies, goals and objectives.

• Supervise the development of water infrastructure development and resource mobilization plans.

• Implement Departmental performance management systems.

• Supervise research for the Department of water and sanitation including management of related information and data.

• Undertake quality control during construction of water supply infrastructure.

• Development and maintenance of County water and sewerage infrastructure.

• Mobilization of resources for development of water and sewerage infrastructure in the County.
