Kibabii University College Assistant Technologist (Physics) - Jobs in Kenya


Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:-
  • Collecting and preparing laboratory/ workshop equipment and teaching materials.
  • Conducting laboratory practicals to undergraduates.
  • Participating in Research activities in the department.
  • Ensuring that laboratory ware including chemicals, glass and plastic ware and equipment are kept in good order.
  • Ensuring that laboratory and workshops are kept tidy.
  • Keeping and maintaining laboratory records in the laboratory.
  • Ensuring safe use and disposal of chemicals.
  • Supervising junior laboratory staff.
  • General laboratory routine.


    Requirements for Appointment
    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

  • Diploma in the relevant area of specialization from a recognized institution.
  • Served in the grade of Assistant Technologist III Grade 5 for a minimum period of three (3) years.
  • Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.
  • Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.


    Terms and Conditions
    Successful candidates shall work on Part-time basis for a period of two (2) academic years in accordance with terms and conditions of service as approved by University Council from time to time.
