Kiambu County Legal Officer Jobs in Kenya

Reports to the Head of Litigation and Prosecution department.
Requirements for Appointment

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university;
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Council of Legal Education;
  • One (1) year relevant experience from the date of admission as an Advocate of the
    High Court of Kenya;
  • A certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution;
  • Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
  • Be a member of Law Society of Kenya with good standing.

    Duties and Responsibilities
  • Taking hearing dates in litigation matters;
  • Facilitating service of legal documents;
  • Collecting, circulating and filing of published bills and subsidiary and subsidiary
    legislation;
  • Filing of court documents and any other legal documents;
  • Organizing the legal department registry;
  • Drafting legal documents under the supervision of the litigation counsel;
  • Providing any other clerical services that may be required by the Legal
    department;

  • Criminal Investigation Department (Certificate of Good Conduct)
  • Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
  • Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
  • Applications should reach the County Public Service Board (CPSB) on or before the
    22nd March, 2019
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original identity cards, academic
    and professional certificates, testimonials, clearance and other relevant documents in
    support of their applications.
