Job Summary: The main purpose of the job holder will be evaluation, disclosure, and management of economic activity and be crucial to the successful and efficient operation of society and markets.

The jobholder is expected to demonstrate commitment and loyalty and perform the duties in accordance with the society policies and procedures, keeping in mind the overall business objectives. .

Job Responsibilities:

Ensure that periodic financial reports are prepared and presented on time and in the appropriate manner taking into consideration the legal requirements.

Managing overall work process of the financial unit by ensuring effective work assignment, supervision and staff development.

Facilitate development, implementation and maintenance of appropriate financial policies, standards and procedures.

Provide operational financial support and guidance on budget and budgetary forecasts accurately and communicate the same to the General Manager and/or the Board of Directors as and when required.

Facilitate, update and maintain all policies relating to financial management, financial risk management.

Offer leadership in overall strategic plan implementation that includes the activities, target and projections.

Ensure regulatory compliance, appropriate treasury management and capital adequacy.

Keeping and updating the general ledger. i.e. Dairy activity, store

activity borehole activity plant activity and car park activity.

Facilitate and ensure prudent debtors and creditor s control

Job Skills:

Must have high standards of integrity and ethical practice

Good understanding of the operations of Finance function

Must demonstrate ability to handle multiple and conflicting priorities, and work under strict deadlines.

Must have ability to accurately plan work assignments, prioritize tasks and deliver deadlines

Should be an effective communicator with the ability to handle both internal and external communication

Should have effective people management and conflict resolution

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting option from a recognized university

Qualified Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K) or CPA 6

4 years’ experience in the related field

Experience in the Dairy Industry is an added advantage

Reporting and managing Board relations and expectations will be a plus
