Kenya Wine Agencies Limited Shift Technician Jobs; This position is responsible for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of production machinery and equipment during assigned shifts. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimise downtime and maintain optimal production levels.

Main Responsibilities

Equipment maintenance and repair

Conduct regular inspections of all production machinery and equipment to identify any signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and part replacements, to prevent equipment failures.

Follow maintenance schedules and checklists to ensure all tasks are completed on time.

Ensure all machines and tools are properly calibrated to maintain precision and accuracy in production processes.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues promptly to minimise downtime

Production support

Continuously monitor production machinery and processes to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently.

Identify and address any deviations from standard operating procedures promptly.

Provide technical support to production staff during shifts, assisting with machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.

Respond quickly to any production-related issues to minimise downtime.

Collaborate closely with production supervisors and operators to ensure seamless workflow and communication

TPM and Continuous Improvement

Support the TPM way of working.

Support the implementation of the improvement

activities.

Safety compliance

Conduct safety checks on all equipment to ensure they are operating safely and in compliance with safety standards

Participate in safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Implement recommendations from safety audits to improve workplace safety.

Adhere to all workplace safety regulations and standards set by regulatory bodies and the company.

Consistently use appropriate PPE, such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection, while performing tasks

Minimum Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

Academic Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Production Option)

Experience

At least 3 years experience in a similar role

Work experience within an FMCG environment will be advantageous
