The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works, established by the Kenya Roads Act, 2007.


Our core mandate is to manage, develop, rehabilitate and maintain national urban road networks.


Responsibilities


  • ITS Systems configuration and database management
  • ITS Systems administration (maintenance, backups, patching, database management, upgrades)
  • ITS systems security management
  • ITS Systems testing
  • Communications network management, maintenance and administration
  • Disaster Recovery Systems Maintenance
  • Data Analysis
  • Transport Modelling


    Requirements


  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering, Business Information Technology or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
  • Have certification in CCNA / MCSE / MCITP/HCIA or other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
  • Be proficient in computer applications
  • Have knowledge in transport modelling and control software
  • Have strong interpersonal relations and communication skills
  • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
  • Positions in Job Grade 10 to 4 are on permanent and pensionable terms while those in job grade 2 and 3 are on a three year contract renewable depending on performance.
