Kenya Tea Development Agency Project Manager Jobs;Oversee design, construction supervision, and commissioning of KTPC projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards while complying with environmental and regulatory requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure KTPC projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required standards.

  • Provide project management services for the company.

  • Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.

  • Supervise and appraise staff, identifying training and development needs.

  • Participate in staff recruitment within the department.

  • Mentor and coach staff.

  • Prepare project status reports.

  • Review and approve feasibility study reports and designs.

  • Prepare tender documents and participate in tendering and award processes.

  • Manage construction and commissioning processes.

  • Manage departmental staff to ensure effective service delivery.

  • Liaise with Operations Manager to meet statutory requirements.

  • Ensure projects meet environmental, health, and safety requirements.

  • Participate in formulation and review of company strategic plan.

  • Review performance and improvement of existing plants.

  • Ensure hydro projects are well planned, designed, and constructed.

  • Ensure timely payments to contractors and consultants.

  • Ensure high quality of feasibility studies.

  • Control operational costs of departmental financial resources.

    Qualifications / Skills / Experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.

  • Postgraduate diploma in Project Management.

  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience, with at least 3
    years at senior level in Project Management/Maintenance.

  • Registered with the Engineering Board.

  • Ability to manage departmental budgets, resources, processes, and relationships.

  • Thorough knowledge of industry and regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate departmental goals.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and strict deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and results‑oriented skills.

  • High standards of integrity and ethical practice.

  • Effective team player and leader with management and leadership skills.

  • Ability to plan work assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.

  • Effective communicator for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to identify and respond to departmental risk areas.

  • Strong people management and conflict resolution skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD).
