Person Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Aeronautical/Aerospace, Remote Sensing, GIS, Geo‑Spatial Engineering, Surveying, Civil/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Control & Instrumentation, or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing and reviewing policies, strategies, standards, and guidelines for space surveillance.

  • Monitoring and evaluating space science and technology programs, ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Conducting initial assessments of non‑compliance cases and preparing preliminary reports.

  • Monitoring compliance with international conventions, treaties, and agreements.

  • Evaluating space activities and data for compliance with standards, codes, and specifications.

  • Monitoring space‑derived data for reliability, efficiency, and credibility.

  • Undertaking environmental, health, safety, and quality standards compliance in space activities.

  • Generating records for complaints or disputes between stakeholders.

  • Mapping non‑compliant cases in space activities and collaborating with stakeholders.

  • Contributing to coordination of risk management processes related to space surveillance.

  • Coordinating capacity‑building initiatives and knowledge management within the space surveillance sector.
