  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Aeronautical/Aerospace, Remote Sensing, GIS, Geo‑Spatial Engineering, Surveying, Civil/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Control & Instrumentation, or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing and reviewing regulations, strategies, and guidelines for Earth observation data utilization.

  • Performing remote sensing applications, digital image processing, and interpretation.

  • Generating training materials and conducting training sessions.

  • Acquisition, processing, distribution, and archiving of space‑derived data.

  • Research on Earth observation satellites and promoting their use.

  • Research and innovation initiatives related to Earth observation.

  • Establishing and maintaining networks and partnerships.

  • Conducting in‑depth needs assessments for Earth observation data.

  • Implementing guidelines for managing and sharing Earth observation data.

  • Promoting access to Earth observation data and products.

  • Implementing Earth observation programs and projects.

  • Supporting development of Earth observation applications and solutions.

  • Liaising with stakeholders to facilitate research and innovation.

  • Evaluating national capability for dissemination and archival of space‑derived data.

  • Documenting risk management for Earth observation.

  • Coordinating capacity building and knowledge management activities.
