Person Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Business Administration, or equivalent qualification.

  • Member of ICPAK or relevant professional body.

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing policies, strategies, legislation, guidelines, frameworks, norms, regulations, plans, standards, and programs on finance, accounting, and resource mobilization.

  • Advising and supervising budget preparation processes.

  • Preparing budgets for recurrent and development votes.

  • Implementing budgetary controls and managing financial returns.

  • Evaluating and scrutinizing expenditure proposals.

  • Preparing MTEF budget for the Agency.

  • Monitoring expenditure and preparing forecasts.

  • Ensuring sound financial and accounting principles and controls.

  • Implementing audit recommendations.

  • Receiving and analyzing quarterly revenue reports.

  • Preparing quarterly and annual management and statutory reports.

  • Identifying and compiling areas of risk.

  • Developing and implementing business continuity plans.

  • Promoting Business Process Re‑engineering (BPR).
