Person Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Business Administration, or equivalent qualification.

  • Member of ICPAK or relevant professional body.

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing policies, strategies, legislation, guidelines, frameworks, norms, regulations, plans, standards, and programs on accounts.

  • Monitoring revenue collection and expenditures.

  • Applying sound principles, systems, and techniques in accounting.

  • Accounting for special funds, programs, and projects.

  • Preparing and verifying financial reports.

  • Processing payments.

  • Verifying bank reconciliation statements.

  • Authorizing payments and claims within set limits.

  • Verifying and receipting monies due to the Agency.

  • Analyzing and reporting on revenue collected.

  • Ensuring safe custody of accountable documents.

  • Preparing financial management reports.
