The Kenya School of Law is a public legal education provider responsible for the provision of professional legal training as an agent of the Government.

The School is run under the auspices of the
Kenya School of Law Act No. 26 of 2012 of the Laws of Kenya. The core functions of the School as currently constituted includes provision of the following services: -

  • Train persons to be advocates under the Advocates Act;
  • Ensure continuing professional development for all cadres of the legal profession;
  • Provide para-legal training;
  • Provide other specialized training in the legal sector;
  • Develop curricular, training manuals, conduct examinations and confer academic awards; and
  • Undertake projects, research and consultancies

    Internship/industrial Attachment Opportunities

    Trainees graduating from training institutions join the labour market with academic and theoretical approaches to work and hence require practical exposure in a real work environment.

    The School has put in place an internship/attachment programme as part of on the job training for purpose of moulding
    interns/attaches to become responsible citizens who will contribute effectively to the socio-economic development of the country as well as develop their ability to successfully take up employment in various sectors.

    The successful candidates shall be selected from applicants who possess the following qualifications:

    Internship

  • 3 Months

    Requirements for engagement as an Intern

  • Application Letter;

    A Degree/Diploma Certificate in any of the following Social Sciences from a recognized
    University or College:

  • Law
  • Paralegal Studies
  • Human Resource Management,
  • Finance / Accounts,
  • Supply Chain Management,
  • ICT
  • Library and Information Science
  • Records Management
  • Hospitality Services
  • Recommendation letter from the Institution;
  • Copies of
    academic transcripts;
  • Copy of National Identification card;
  • Personal accident insurance to cover for personal risks lasting for at least three (3) months;
  • Medical insurance cover by the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) or any other reputable medical insurance firm; and
  • A copy of PIN certificate

    How to apply

    Requirements for engagement as an Attachee

  • Application Letter;
  • Recommendation letter from the Institution and a copy of valid student ID;
  • Copies of academic transcripts;
  • Copy of National Identification card;
  • Personal accident insurance to cover for personal risks lasting for at least three (3) month; and
  • Medical cover provided by the University or College or any other reputable insurance firm.
