Kenya Red Cross Clinical Officer Dadaab Jobs;The Clinical Officer’s main objective is to provide quality health care in both outpatient and in‑patient units through patient clerkship, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases based on clinical signs, symptoms, and available laboratory findings.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct clinical assessment and prescribe treatment to all patients according to MOH/WHO guidelines.

Ensure patient registers and files are accurately filled and updated regularly.

Maintain high standards of confidentiality and treat all patients with respect and dignity.

Perform minor surgical procedures at the workstation.

Take detailed patient histories and update treatment in patient files for admitted patients.

Conduct and attend ward rounds.

Attend to medical emergencies at the hospital and health posts.

Participate in weekly CMEs organized at the hospital boardroom.

Supervise medical assistants stationed at health posts.

Conduct on‑job training for auxiliary staff and incentive workers.

Maintain high quality of care for all patients.

Identify critically ill patients and prioritize treatment.

Compile and submit reports on time.

Ensure adherence to universal precautions and infection prevention guidelines.

Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge Management

Create and share

knowledge by synthesizing and documenting lessons learned, success stories, best practices, strategies, and approaches.

Track best practices and maintain knowledge of current trends, emerging issues, and opportunities in youth engagement efforts relevant to the county.

Conduct research to identify appropriate stakeholders and cost‑effective program components, and implement findings in practice.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.

Registered with the Clinical Officers’ Council of Kenya and possess a valid practicing license.

Minimum of 2 years’ working experience, preferably in a refugee setting.
