Kenya Red Cross British Red Cross:Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator Jobs;To manage and coordinate logistics activities in Africa, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of supply chain support to National Societies (NS) and other Movement partners.

This role supports strategic partnerships to enhance emergency responses and preparedness, while promoting locally led response initiatives that foster transformative partnerships aligned with the British Red Cross’s priority investment areas.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Operations Management

  • Coordinate logistics operations in Africa, working closely with NS, BRC teams, and Movement partners.

  • Design and implement effective supply chain solutions that empower locally led responses.

  • Optimize operational impact through efficient logistics planning and execution.

    Supply Chain Management and Procurement

  • Collaborate with NS and Movement partners to design and implement supply chain strategies.

  • Support emergency response and preparedness through efficient, locally led solutions.

    Partnership Development and Management

  • Provide technical support and capacity building to NS and Movement partners.

  • Manage regionally based logistics roles, including recruitment, monitoring, and appraisals.

  • Foster collaborative relationships with humanitarian organizations, governments, and stakeholders.

    Assurance and Compliance

  • Ensure logistics and supply chain programs adhere to local legislation, donor requirements, and BRC policies.

  • Provide assurance that logistics components meet required standards and best practices.

    Regional CVA Logistics Support and Capacity Development

  • Contribute to regional CVA programming by identifying constraints and developing solutions.

  • Provide technical support on market assessments, planning, budgeting, and contract establishment.

  • Maintain relationships with NS, PNS, and IFRC Cash Ready Movement Pool
    to share information and facilitate training.

    Knowledge & Skills

  • Familiarity with logistics technology such as TMS, WMS, ERP systems, and emerging technologies.*

  • Knowledge of inventory control methods including JIT and flexible inventory management approaches.*

  • Ability to analyze data to optimize logistics operations and ensure efficient delivery of aid.*

  • Understanding of risk management strategies to mitigate disruptions.

  • Effective communication skills across diverse cultural contexts.

  • Ability to adapt to changing humanitarian contexts.

  • Understanding of financial concepts including budgeting and cost control.

    Experience

  • Humanitarian logistics experience in Africa, with focus on emergency response and CVA programming.*

  • Experience working with NS, IFRC, UN agencies, NGOs, and governments.*

  • Proven expertise in coordinating logistics operations and collaborating with Movement partners.*

  • Strong understanding of African logistics infrastructure and multimodal transport networks.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • Excellent written and spoken French (essential for Francophone engagement).
