Job Description

  • The intern property management will assist in ensuring efficient property development through management of properties owned by the Fund and coordination of the lease and tenancy agreements.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Qualification: Bachelors Degree

    Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in drawing of leases, sale agreements for the houses let and sold by the Fund.
  • Assist in monitoring administration of service contracts
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of scheduled repair and maintenance works for the Fund properties.
  • Monitor property occupation levels and ensure rents/license fees is collected.
  • Ensure that statutory payments to the relevant authorities are made in liaison with the finance department.
  • Carry out monthly reconciliation of sale and rental income.
  • Prepare correspondences to tenants in liaison with appointed property managers.
  • Conduct internal market surveys including rental assessment on real estate that would be required from time to time
  • Undertaking research on the existing property investment portfolio and on new investments.
  • Assist in the execution of planned property projects.
  • Keep up to date with real estate trends and develop scenario models
  • Management and storage of department data
  • Develop periodic reports

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelors Degree or an equivalent
    in bachelor’s degree in land economics from accredited and recognized institution.
  • Bachelors Degree or an equivalent in bachelor’s degree in real estate from accredited and recognized institution.
  • IT & Numerical skills
  • Interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, including ability to build collaborative relationships with sensitivity to diversity/inclusion.
  • Creativity and innovation skills.
  • Action oriented and demonstrated ability to manage priorities
  • Quality focus and attention to detail.
  • Professionalism and integrity in line with Kenya Power Pension Fund values.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Personal motivation and drive exhibited through commitment to hard work, continuous improvement and achievement of goals.
  • Good customer relationship management skills (internal and external customers).
