Reporting to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, this role will be responsible for prudent management of financial resources to achieve corporate goals and objectives

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement sound financial policies, procedures, strategies and systems;
  • Manage the Company’s financial resources to ensure the budget effectively supports implementation of the corporate strategy;
  • Provide adequate financial resources for business operations;
  • Compile Company’s statutory financial reports;
  • Advise the Board on investment opportunities for maximum returns;
  • Advise the Board of Directors and Management on financial strategies and their impact on Company objectives;
  • Ensure compliance with financial and accounting standards and regulations;
  • Coordinate external Audit activities;
  • Implement technological innovations for sound financial management practices;
  • Implement effective controls for prudent use of financial resources; and
  • Conduct appraisals on all projects to ensure positive returns on investments.

    Requirements

  • We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics or a related field from a recognised university with not less than 12 years relevant work experience with 5 years in senior management; be a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya CPA (K), or any other relevant qualification and be a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), or any other relevant professional body with a valid practicing certificate and be of good standing.
  • A master’s degree in a relevant field and a Certification in Corporate Governance and /or Leadership from a recognised institution will be an added advantage..

  • Candidates will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 including: Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations; Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board; Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority; Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission; and Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau.
