Kenya National Trading Corporation Sales Officer Jobs

Job Purpose

Undertakes sales services, customer recruitment and market search for new customers
under the guidance of a Senior Sales officer.

Key Responsibilities/ Duties / Tasks

Operational Responsibilities / Tasks

Prospect and pursue business leads, tenders and follow up for closure in Sourcing for new clients;

Analyze sales performance

Undertake Business presentation to potential clients;

Create account profiles for new clients;

Maintain database of existing customers;

Prepare client quotations and invoices;

Draft correspondences to clients;

Attend to client enquiries;

Assist in mapping of markets;

Prepare and analyze sales forecasts in the assigned territory

Provide assistance in executing trade fairs and exhibitions;

Support market activation campaigns in the assigned territory

Make regular visits to existing clients to maintain business relationship and check on their needs;

Prepare periodic sales reports;

Job Dimensions:

Equipment, furniture and records.

Working Conditions

Works from an office setup with regular field visits.

Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills).

Academic qualifications

Bachelors Degree in any of the followings disciplines:-Marketing, Commerce or Business
Administration (Marketing option)or its equivalent qualification from a recognized
institution;

Functional Skills, Behavioral Competencies/ Attributes:

Functional Skills;

Communication skills

Customer care skills.

Negotiation skills.

Behavioral Competencies/Attributes:

Team player.

Emotional Intelligence.
